Saira Banu (born 23 August 1944) aslso known as Saira Bano, is one of the most popular Indian Hindi film actress. Banu was borna in India to actress Naseem Banu and film producer Mian Ehsan-ul Haq, who produced the film Phool in Mumbai and film Wadah in Pakistan. Her maternal grandmother and was the courtesan Chamiyan Bai, also known as Shamshad Begum of Delhi.

Yes, this is true that Saira Banu had accepted Dilip Kumar as her husband, when she was in her teenage. At this small age children usually think what they want to be in their life, she decided her life partner. She was also the biggest fan of Dilip Kumar.
Saira Banu so passionate about Kumar, Banu was created everything to her is Kumar. When she was 16 years old Banu makes her debut in 1960 Junglee alongside with Shammi Kapoor, Banu received Filmfare for best actress in her first film. ‘Chhein koi mujhe junglee kahe‘ was a biggest successful song at that time.
After ‘Junglee’ Banu, became a successful heroine in 1960s to early 1970s and she did many successful films like Jhuk Gaya Asmaan, Milan Ki Bela, April Fool, Aao Pyar Karen, Saaz Aur Awaaz, Door Ki Saaz, Yeh Zindagi Kitni Haseen Hai and Shagird established Banu as a romantic heroine through in 1960s to 1970. Banu shared screen with Shammi Kapoor, Rajendra Kumar, Biswajeet with Joy Mukherjee.

Banu got success in her love life when she was 22, finally Banu got married with her dream man Dilip Kumar(44) on Oct 11, 1966. This shows us the true meaning of love that age gap doesn’t matters when you want someone passionately.
After Banu marriage, she pairing with Rajendra Kumar in Aman, she done films in same genre. Soon she became a dancer and films flaunted more of her dance. But it is said that the turning point of her career was the Comedy and Love Story in Padosan in 1968 opposite Sunil Dutt, which brought her to the league of the successful actresses and she started receiving more offers.
Finally, in 1976 Banu end her film career because her husband married with another girl named Asma. Second marriage was not so much successful and they got separeted soon.
Later, she appeared in Duniya(1984) with her husband as in cameo appearance. Faisla(1976) was her last film, where she appeared with Vinod Mehra.
After quitting film career, she focused on her married life with Dilip Kumar, where she was very passionate about her husband and always used to take care of him.
